The company specializes in the field of basic inorganic chemistry, producing soluble silicates and derivatives, principally in Spain. It was incorporated in the year 1958. The registered head office of the company is located in Zaragoza, Spain. Solutions of sodium and potassium silicates, metasilicate, zeolites, sodium and potassium aluminates, precipitated silica, aluminium silicate and amorphous aluminium hydroxide are products with very wide applications in such diverse sectors as: detergency, ceramics, rubber, paints, building industry, water treatment, paper, smelting, food industry and electrodes, amongst others. IQESIL, the company's subsidiary located in Zaragoza next to IQE, produces precipitated silica and aluminum silicate, which have numerous applications, as well as raw materials required for the manufacture of rubber by-products such as soles for footwear, technical parts and latest-generation ecological tires.
